Why take on only one iconic role when you can take on two? Ask Deborah Cox, because not only she is going to tackle Josephine Baker on stage next year, she’s also going after Whitney Houston and The Bodyguard.
Cox, who topped the music charts with Nobody’s Supposed to be Here and has already kicked Broadway’s butt with her roles in Aida and Jekyll & Hyde, apparently doesn’t know the meaning of resting on one’s laurels. Next year she is attached to two Broadway bound projects, taking on the Rachel Marron role in The Bodyguard and Josephine Baker in Josephine. Oh and she has an album coming out this year called Work of Art.
I got tired just reading the interview! And she looks good doing it!
